Austin Impressions (The End)

Last but not least

I just couldn't explore more of Austin with my tight schedule. But I will definitely go back to enjoy more of its subtle beauty in the future.  :)

Austin Impressions

Did everyone have a good Easter weekend? I certainly had a great one myself in Austin. Before I went there, I wasn't sure whether Austin is really a fun place to visit. But for two days, I had so much fun and fell in love with this city!

Over the weekend, we visited the magnificent State Capitol Building, enjoyed spectacular panoramic views at the top of Mt. Bonnell and beautiful sunset on Lake Travis at Oasis, grabbed some drinks on famous 6th street, walked around in UT Austin campus, took a relaxed cruise on Lady Bird Lake, canoed for a couple hours, had the best BBQ in town, and so on. Can you believe that we almost hit a white swan while canoeing? LOL~~ I guess I just can't ask for any more with a weekend like this, can I?  ;)

Nude, Olive Green & Camel

My friend Guigui got this shirt for me last year. Can you believe it's in size LARGE?  ;)  In fact, it's so comfortable and I really like it.

If you are a fan of J Brand, you must have known its famous Houlihan cargo jeans. My dear friend floret got this very similar pair of cargo jeans for me from Forever 21 last year. The quality is pretty good in terms of its low price. With this thrifty version, I didn't need to spend a fortune on Houlihan.  LOL~~

Thank all my friends who picked up so many nice pieces for me. Love you girls!

Blush, White & Gray

I recommended this leather jacket in blush from Gap a long time ago, but didn't come up any decent pictures of it. Last Saturday the weather was so comfortable that I could wear it one more time.  Finally I got some shots of this lovely leather jacket.  :)

Love at Second Sight: Celine Luggage

A lot of friends know that I got a Celine luggage tote, a bag with a funny face.  Honestly, this bag is not my love at first sight.  Before I went for it, I had seen so many street shots of bloggers or stars carrying this bag and I had no feeling at all. Several weeks ago one of my friends sent me a picture of one three-color combo Celine luggage asking for my opinion.  I was suddenly intrigued by the fun color combination and rich leather texture so I made my mind to get one for myself.  After discussing with some of my friends, I finally decided to get this luggage tote in camel considering that its neutral color would make it easily go with my daily outfits. That's so true coz I have been using it since the day I got it. Although this one is not as eye-catching as the three-color combo one, it's super light, soft and its color is just about right. All these elements make it so versatile to go well with pretty much everything!! Leather jacket, blazer, blouse, tee, jeans, etc., you name it!!  In fact, the more I use it, the more I like it.

The same story may also apply to this Vince paper leather jacket.  I wasn't a big fan of this jacket until I tried it on in Neiman Marcus some day last year. My concern about its color diminished as I saw how it can be seamlessly blended with black, white or denim without making my face look dull.

Well, as you see, these items may not be my love at first sight, but they are certainly beloved pieces in my closet as time goes by.  :)

p.s. Some friends are so eager to see how I play this debatable bag. Don't worry; since I use it almost every day, more pictures are yet to come.  I wish you wouldn't feel fed up by seeing too much of it at that time.  LOL~~

Something Old: LANCEL Bag & Prada Flats

Last Saturday I drove to some places to kill my time and got a chance to play some old stuff from my closet.

I got this Lancel bucket bag almost four years ago in Paris. At that time I really liked the fresh orange and white combination and carried it around for a certain amount of time.  I hadn't used it for quite a while though, thinking that it might make me look too childish.  Gladly, I could give it one more try with this season's colorful trend.

The same applied to this pair of Prada flats.  My girl friend got this for me in Seattle several years ago. The orange and fuchsia combination is bold and unique, and would be perfect for this season!  Well, it may not be the best choice for this outfit, but it's certainly a comfortable one considering that I need to walk around.  ;)
