Pleated Maxi Skirt

I had a wonderful Sunday yesterday!! I wore my favorite pleated skirt, went shopping with my lovely girlfriends and had a delicious meal together. With an experience like this, what else can I ask for?  :)

Have I ever said I am obsessed with Helmut Lang? Maybe too many times already.  ;) 

The brand Helmut Lang is well known for its very sharp lines and careful cuts. Its minimalist designs create basic but extremely elegant silhouettes in high quality. I used to look for some deals for HL at Saks, NM or BG. But T.J.Maxx surprised me by providing some really popular pieces with reasonable prices. Obviously the price TJ offers makes HL much more approachable and attractive to me.  :) 

One thing I want to mention is that although TJ carries HL with good prices, dear friend Dangdang is the one who helped me a lot to fulfill my desire for HL.  She can always find so many great bargains in her local stores.  Can you believe that she got this wrap skirt from HL for less than 20 bucks?!  What a steal!  More importantly, she always picked up those items for me and mailed them to me without being concerned about the hassle.  So here I would like to pay my special tribute to her! Thank you, dear.    :)

Everywhere Flare

Have you noticed from latest fashion pictures that 70's-style flared jeans are back?! Yes, my be-loved flared jeans are in trend again!  I always think this type of jeans pairing with high heels makes you look taller and thinner, which flatters almost every single woman.

If you are trying to find a pair of flared jeans, J Brand offers some nice designs this season. 7 for all mankind is another option as my love with flared jeans started from the moment I picked up my first A-pocket jeans from 7 almost eight years ago.  Don't forget Gap, which also provides some thrifty alternatives. For myself, I can save some money by digging deep in my wardrobe.  ;)

Celine-inspired Envelope Clutch

As I mentioned in my previous posts, ZARA has so many nice pieces for this Spring/Summer. This Celine-inspired envelope clutch is my new love.  The bag is light and the leather is very soft and creamy. The color is coral orange, which can easily go with a lot of different hues. This clutch comes with a chain so you can also use it as a shoulder bag. 

I have to say that the overall quality of this bag is surprisingly good in terms of its price. It will undoubtedly add some fun to my spring outfits.  ;)

Something New

I love Zara, I hate Zara, I love Zara and I hate Zara.... I repeat this pretty much every week.  I love it coz they have so many nice pieces lately and I just want to have all of them! I hate it as it makes me spend too much money, even though each one of them is not so pricey.  :(

I got this pair of pants from Zara Basic a couple of weeks ago.  I really like its rich brown color, which can be easily mixed with a lot of different hues. The cutting itself is quite flattering.  I think it can easily go with blazers, cardigans or trench coats.

Very J.crew

Honestly, I am not a big lover of J.crew as some of my friends are, but I have always been fascinated by J.crew's unique color collection and inspired by its way of mixing colors and patterns.  

I like to pick up some pieces from J.crew store every once in a while. These pieces may not be very stylish, but definitely wearable. Maybe my love towards J.crew is quite subtle, not as the one towards Zara, which is more impulsive... lol

On the shoulder

As you may see from some latest fashion pictures, putting clothes on the shoulder instead of wearing them seems a new trend. I have to say that this is rather impractical for ordinary people like me, whose daily life is about to sit in front of the computer for working.

The other day after long time walking, I felt a little bit hot, but thought that it would be too cold if I took off my coat. Then I decided to put my soft fur coat on my shoulder, which surprisingly gave me the right comfort I was hoping for. That's the reason that I end up with this kind of pictures. So please do not laugh at me for being a bit pretentious.   ;)

Thank Shopbop for its fabulous sale and my dear friend who notified me of this deal, I got this rabbit fur coat in taupe color with a very good price (got the same one in black previously). The coat itself is so soft and comfortable. More important, it's warm but not too thick, which is perfect for a mild winter like what we have here.
